Operator-built growth systems for contractors
Stop treading water. Start scaling.
Most contractors don't need more hustle. They need a system that holds the business up. Built by an owner who did it first at Haven Outdoors, for a small number of owners ready to do the same.
01The problem
Most $1M–$5M contractors aren't sinking. They're treading water. Busy. Profitable enough. Stuck, because growth stops wherever the owner's calendar fills up.

02Built by an operator
I treaded water too. Then we built the system.
- 13 years in the business
Running Haven Outdoors, a Tennessee pool and outdoor living company, not advising one from the sidelines.
- The flat years
Hard work, steady revenue, no real growth. The business needed me in the water every day.
- 3 years of systemizing
Rebuilt operations around JobTread, practical AI, and Google Apps. One system, clear roles, fewer handoffs.
- Then it compounded
Growth started following the systems instead of the owner's hours.

What the system did at Haven Outdoors
Haven Outdoors' results, shared for context. Your results depend on your market, your team, and your follow-through.
03The Deep End Method
Four depths. One system that holds the business up.
See it
Map how work actually moves from first call to final payment, and find exactly where it leaks: time, margin, and owner attention.
- Owner-dependence audit
- Process and handoff map
- A scoreboard of the numbers that matter
Build it
Put every job in one place and write down how your company does the work, so it stops living in your head.
- JobTread set up to match how you sell and build
- SOPs your team will actually use
- Clear roles and clean handoffs
Speed it
Practical AI and Google Apps take the repeat work off your team's plate. AI drafts. Your people approve.
- Drafting, summarizing, and organizing on autopilot
- Google Apps workflows and live reporting
- Less re-entering data, fewer missed steps
Grow it
A team that runs the system and an owner who leads, instead of holding everything up.
- A weekly scoreboard and meeting rhythm
- Accountability without micromanaging
- Room to take on more work

05Run your numbers
What is treading water costing you?
Illustrative only · not a projection or guarantee
How it works: both lines start at your revenue and compound at the growth rates you choose. Added gross profit is the gap between them times your margin. Hours back is your weekly number times 50 weeks a year. Every input is a hypothetical you pick, not a promise.

✓A strong fit
- Pool and outdoor living contractors doing about $1M–$5M
- On JobTread, or ready to commit to it
- Open to using AI in day-to-day work
- An owner who wants out of the daily grind and will hand things off
- A team, even a small one, willing to adopt a system
✕Not a fit
- Looking for a lead-gen or marketing-only fix
- Expecting new software to fix things on its own
- Not willing to write down how the work gets done
- Wants it all done for them, with no team involvement
- Contractors based in or competing in Tennessee (Haven Outdoors' home market)

Dive in
Tier 1 or Tier 2A clear plan, the right depth, and a start date.
Pool and outdoor living is the first market. The method fits any business that runs on jobs, crews, and margins.
07Questions
Straight answers.
What owners usually ask before they apply.
No, but you need to be ready to commit to it. Tier 2 includes JobTread setup with your team. In Tier 1, Hunter guides and reviews the setup while your team does the build.
Pool and outdoor living is the first market because that's where Hunter built Haven Outdoors. The method works for any contractor or service business that runs on jobs, crews, and margins.
Everyday uses: drafting, summarizing, and organizing work so your team spends less time on repeat tasks. AI drafts and your people approve. The goal is more capacity, not fewer people.
Tier 1 is a weekly 1-hour call plus the work you take on between calls. Tier 2 is hands-on: Hunter works directly with your team, so you make the key decisions without doing all the building yourself.
Tier 1 has a 2-month minimum, then runs month to month. Tier 2 is a 5-month engagement. Investment is shared on the fit call, once we both know it's a fit.
Yes. When you're ready for a hands-on build, Tier 1 can roll into Tier 2, depending on availability.
Hunter works with a small number of companies at a time so every client gets real attention. The application makes sure the fit is right before anyone spends time on a call.
No honest advisor can guarantee revenue. Hunter commits to the work, the system, and a clear weekly rhythm. Your market, your team, and your follow-through drive the results.
